Dr. Mike attended a post graduate seminar on “Advanced Decompression and Core Rehabilitation”. The seminar focused on tissue injury and how it related to various forms of traction and decompression therapy, nutrition and other forms of therapy, anatomy and pathology of the intervertebral disc and adjacent spinal structures, as well as core (back and stomach muscle) rehabilitation. One interesting study quoted showed that 72% of people who had back surgery had the same or worse symptoms two years after the surgery. It is essential to accurately evaluate and to conservatively treat disc and other back and neck problems with spinal adjustments, traction and other types of therapy and rehabilitation to avoid unnecessary and many times ineffective surgeries. This seminar was the most recent in a long list of post graduate courses that Dr. Mike has attended to give the very best care to his patients.
